Everyone deserves their own film

We create beautifully crafted personal documentaries that capture a lifetime in film. Every film is a reminder that every life, however unassuming, contains its own beauty, drama and truth.

For centuries, family histories were recorded in letters, portraits and heirlooms. In today’s world, those memories can fade too easily. We have snippets on our phones, but little else.

We want to reconnect generations through the ancient tradition of storytelling- to capture a life well-lived on film so they can live forever.

Because every story matters.

About Us

Founded by filmmakers with over twenty year’s experience working with the BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix, Memento brings professional craft to the most personal stories of all.

Memento Films was born from a simple realisation - that every person carries a remarkable story, yet only a privileged few ever see theirs told on screen.

After years spent making documentaries for television, we found that the most captivating moments often came not from celebrities or public figures, but from ordinary people. In quiet kitchens, garden sheds, and hospital corridors, we met individuals whose stories held the full sweep of human experience - love, courage, loss, laughter, faith, chance, and change.

We created Memento because we wanted to open the door to everyone. To make it possible for people from all walks of life to experience what it means to be heard, to see their journey unfold with cinematic care and dignity.

The Experience

Being filmed for a memento documentary is an unforgettable day for everyone involved. Friends and family can take part if you wish . A memento film isn’t about performance but a relaxed, meaningful conversation - a chance to look back, laugh and reflect as the memories flood back.
